Visit Samut Prakan

Samut Prakan is a province located just south of Bangkok, Thailand. It provides a unique glimpse into Thailand's past, as this area was once the home of the ancient Thai kingdom of Ayutthaya. Its main attractions are its two major cities - Phra Samut Chedi and Muang Samut Prakan. The former is an old fortress city dating back to the 18th century that also serves as a museum with many historical artifacts from the area's past. The latter is a bustling port city with plentiful shopping options and local delicacies.

There are plenty of touristy places to visit in Samut Prakan, ranging from Buddhist temples such as WatBangPhliYaiKlang, which features multiple stupas and statues; to historic sites like BangPooMaeklong Railway Market; or even recreational activities like Khao Din Water Park and Crocodile Farm & Zoo!

In addition to its tourism offerings, Samut Prakan offers an interesting historical fact: it was used by King Rama I when he moved his capital from Thonburi to Bangkok in 1782. This move allowed him more control over his domain, making it one of the most important decisions in the history of modern Thailand.
