Visit Phetchaburi

Phetchaburi is a city located in the Western part of Thailand, about two hours south of Bangkok. It is known for its historical temples and monuments that form an important part of Thai culture, such as the Wat Mahathat Worawihan and Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park. Tourists can visit both of these sites to learn more about the history and heritage of Phetchaburi province. Other than these places, travelers must try the famous Kaeng Krachan National Park, where they can enjoy various activities such as jungle trekking and bird watching amongst other things.

The city also has a unique history which goes back to ancient times. In 1768, King Taksin declared Phetchaburi to be one of his capitals when he moved from Thonburi to establish Rattanakosin near present day Bangkok. This makes it one of the oldest cities in Thailand making it an interesting place for tourists who want to explore some authentic Thai culture.
