Visit Lampang

The Lampang province of Thailand is known for its lush forests, rolling hills and beautiful rivers. Located in Northern Thailand, it is a peaceful location that is perfect for those looking to explore the natural beauty of the region.

Lampang has several tourist attractions to offer visitors, including Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao which houses an ancient Buddha image and Wat Luang Por Kasem which boasts an impressive 12-meter long reclining Buddha statue. Tourists can also visit Thung Kwian Hao Ko Bird Sanctuary or take a ride on the famous horsecarts that are found throughout the city.

In addition to its beautiful natural landscape and array of tourist sites, Lampang also has a rich history. It was once part of the ancient kingdom Wiang Kum Kam from 897-1038 A.D., and later became part of Lanna Kingdom before being annexed by Siam in 1786. Today, it remains one of Thailand's most historically significant provinces with many traditional customs still practiced by locals today.
